Keansburg Fire Co. #1 Ladies
Auxiliary
October 7, 1947
The first Ladies Auxiliary formed early in
1913 and played an important part in fund raising
for the newly organized Fire Company. Sponsoring dinners, social events and
cake sales.
The present group in the Ladies Auxiliary were Incorporated October 7, 1947.
Considered a most active group, the ladies played an important part in the fund raising
programs of the Company, and currently operate the refreshment concession at the
weekly Bingo. The group was honored in 1949 and in 1950 with awards at the State
Fair
in Trenton New Jersey, and took second prize for the Best Appearing Auxiliary at
Rumson's 50th anniversary parade.
